Lunch at Prestwick Golf Club

This session will examine how the current economy will affect household money management and why giving should be the core of any financial plan.

Chris Farrell is economics editor for Marketplace Money, American Public Media nationally syndicated public radio personal finance program. An award-winning journalist, Chris is a regular contributor to Marketplace Morning Report and chief economics correspondent for American Public Media’s documentary unit, American Radio Works and Minnesota Public Radio. He is contributing editor at Bloomberg Business Week magazine. His latest book is The New Frugality: How to Consume Less, Save More and Live Better. He’s also written two other books, Deflation: What Happens When Prices Fall and Right on the Money: Taking Control of Your Personal Finances. Chris has a weekly column in the Star Tribune. He is a graduate of Stanford University and the London School of Economics.  Chris is the father of two sons and both are growing up far too fast. He lives in Saint Paul.
