Major Donor Support Needed for K9 Endowment

Bruce Stafford was a 22 year veteran of the Woodbury Fire Department, a 35 year Paramedic with HealthEast and a First Responder with the St. Paul Saints Fan Service for 10 years.  To honor Bruce’s memory and in appreciation for the amazing service of Woodbury’s Public Safety Department (Police, Fire, Paramedics, EMT), Bruce’s wife, Donna, and good friend Diane Hanson, have provided seed funds for a new Endowment Fund which has been established at the Woodbury Community Foundation.

In Bruce’s name, the Fund’s purpose and mission is to provide financial support for Woodbury Public Safety to purchase and train canine officers and provide much needed equipment.

A portion of the funds in the endowment may be used annually, but the intent of the fund is to provide funding in perpetuity as a supplement to the budget provided by the Department of Public Safety and the City of Woodbury.  Contributions will be added to the fund to insure that the K9 program can be supported for many years to come.
