2008 Soirée Spooktakular

Prestwick Golf Club, Woodbury, MN

Woodbury Resident Celebrities Traded in their Day Jobs and Donned Aprons for a Great Cause

The Woodbury Community Foundation (WCF) hosted the inaugural Soirée Spooktakular – a Celebrity Waiter dinner and fundraiser with a Halloween theme – on October 30, 2008 at 6:00 pm at Prestwick Golf Club.

The Soiree Spooktakular benefits the WCF in its mission to ensure that Woodbury continues to be a premier and caring place to live, work and play by connecting people and organizations to causes that matter in order have a direct and lasting impact on Woodbury for generations to come. Woodbury resident “Celebrities” ranging from political officials, high school coaches and principals to small business owners, radio show hosts and celebrities in their own minds, served up the best that Axel’s at Prestwick had to offer and earned tips. The Cocktail and “Black Carpet” Reception was followed by an excellent dinner, a live auction, and lots of dancing.

Dinner participants had the opportunity to dance with the “stars” – including the Vulcans from the Saint Paul Winter Carnival and Darth Vader, and participated in a live auction to benefit the cause.
