Recent research findings reveal more than one-third of a community’s population is likely to worry all or most of the time that family income won’t pay the bills. The Basic Needs Task Force was formed to assess the greatest service gaps in our Woodbury community and then act to fill these gaps. The focus on basic needs is a major initiative for the Woodbury Community Foundation. This group reviews basic needs challenges – as introduced by Woodbury residents – and visits sites to learn how basic needs services are being delivered and where gaps still exist.
