Give to the Max Day
WCF has launched a $2,500 Community Match Challenge to support food insecurity in our community. Food shelves are seeing a 30 percent rise in shoppers. We have provided an emergency grant of $2500 to Open Cupboard, and we want to provide $2500 to Basic Needs, the food shelf serving the other side of our community. We already have a $1,000 pledge. Every dollar up to the goal will go to Basic Needs, and any funds raised beyond that through Give to the Max day will be shared by Basic Needs and Open Cupboard.
As a community foundation, WCF is designed to respond quickly and help donors give through us to support local needs. We can also accept gifts of stock, donor-advised fund contributions, and Qualified Charitable Distributions.
