Specializing in planned giving strategy\, she helps nonprofits envision a more sustainable future and donors imagine how they can align their values with their finances through thoughtful legacy planning. \nThrough this work\, she’s inspired donors to commit hundreds of millions of dollars to loved ones and their favorite causes. \nChristy’s undergraduate studies focused on psychology and communication\, and she also holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education. She received a Certificate in Fund Raising Management through Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. She is a Fellow in Charitable Estate Planning (FCEP). With this varied background\, Christy naturally navigates between the analytical and relational sides of planned giving. \nChristy loves biking–she once even cycled across the country for charity–and leads historical food tours in her hometown and at a local winery. She lives in St. Paul\, Minnesota\, with her husband; their dog\, Lucy; and 24 thriving houseplants. \n

SUMMARY:Winter Clothing Drive
DESCRIPTION:Woodbury\, MN—The Woodbury Community Foundation (WCF) has launched its annual Winter Clothing Drive\, which will run from now through December 20\, 2024. This vital program collects new and gently used winter clothing to help students in the South Washington County School District stay warm this winter. Woodbury Foundation volunteers have worked to expand the drive to 24 drop-off locations this year. \nThe WCF brings together an impressive network of businesses\, nonprofits\, schools\, and volunteers to make this drive possible. “This winter clothing drive is a shining example of how our community can come together to support one another\,” said WCF Board Chair Christie Denson. “It’s incredible to see businesses\, multiple nonprofits\, schools\, and volunteers collaborating to ensure local kids have the warm clothing they need for the winter season.” \nThe drive specifically seeks winter coats and snow pants in sizes from 4T to 18\, including youth sizes XS through XXL\, and adult sizes small and medium. Black is the preferred color for snow pants.
