George is an attorney and was employed by West Publishing Company from 1968-1996. His civic involvement includes the Boy Scouts of America, American Lung Association of Minnesota, Southeast Area YMCA, Woodbury Lions Club, Woodbury United Methodist Church, as well as the Woodbury Economic Development Commission. He is also a founder of the South Washington County Education Foundation, and has served on the Boards of numerous charitable organizations, both locally and nationally. George and his wife Kathy have lived in Woodbury for more than 20 years and raised their three children here. He was selected Woodbury Citizen of the Year in 1997.
