Gil has been the President/CEO of two Property and Casualty Insurance Companies over the past 25 years and the President/CEO of two Life Insurance Companies for 20 years. He is currently the President & CEO of Security Life Insurance Company of America in Minnetonka since 2002. He also served as President and CEO of Mendota Insurance Company in Saint Paul for the four years prior. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and is certified as a C.P.C.U. (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter), A.I.M. (Associate in Management I.I.A.), A.R.P. (Associate in Research and Planning) and has an Advanced Executive Education Program from Wharton Business School. His volunteer experience includes serving as Chairman of the Wisconsin Insurance Alliance, board member of the Southeast Area YMCA and a member of the Woodbury Lions Club.
