John Lanners is president and CEO of F.T.L. Corporation, which owns a number of MGM Wine & Spirits retail stores. In 1999, he founded LannCo, LLC, specializing in commercial real estate development, and he is also president of R. P. Royalties, Inc. Lanners serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Minnesota Licensed Beverage Association and the affiliated MLBA Children’s Fund. He is on the Board of the Center of the American Experiment (CAE), the Friends of the Saint Paul Libraries, and the F.T. & L.M. Lanners Foundation. He recently completed his term as Chairman of the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), which he held since 2006. He is also past president of the Woodbury Lion’s Club and past board member of the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce. Lanners currently resides in Woodbury with his wife, Norma Jean Lanners. He is a native of Saint Paul and attended Marquette University in Wisconsin.
