This powerful community conversation will take place on Wednesday\, March 19\, 2025\, at M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital Auditorium from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM\, and will include a live presentation\, community dinner\, and small group discussions. \nThis free event\, part of WREC’s ongoing commitment to advancing racial equity in Woodbury\, invites community members to explore the enduring impact of systemic racism across six key areas: employment\, housing\, education\, voting\, Jim Crow justice\, and public accommodations. \n“We believe that providing learning opportunities and community dialogue is essential to building a more inclusive and equitable community\,” said Christie Denson\, co-Chair of the Woodbury Racial Equity Collaborative and Board Chair of the Woodbury Community Foundation. “Through conversations like these\, we will work so that Woodbury remains a place where all voices are heard and valued.” \nDr. Yohuru Williams\, Distinguished University Chair and Professor of History at the University of St. Thomas\, is also the Founding Director of the university’s Racial Justice Initiative.
