Brenda Carlson will Leads Discussion on Goal- Setting and Goal-Getting!

The 30-minute interactive presentation will share five proven strategies to achieve your goals. Format is informal, including whole-group discussion, question and answer and a graphic organizer for attendees to capture what they learn.

Entrepreneurs and business owners know how to set goals. They’ve attended goal setting seminars, learned about SMART goals and even have written goals. Every year they develop new goals hoping the next year will be more successful than the last. And each year they are disappointed.

Research indicates that 20% of individuals set goals and believe that goals are important to their success. However, of that 20%, fully 70% consistently fail to achieve their own objectives.

Since Leadership Members are very aware of how to set goals, this 30-minute interactive presentation will share five proven strategies to achieve their goals. Format is informal, including whole-group discussion, question and answer and a graphic organizer for attendees to capture what they learn.

Some people are educators, some are coaches, and some are story tellers. Brenda Carlson is a combination of all of these – and much more! An achiever since her teen years, Brenda’s love/hate relationship with goals took her a long way. But when she found herself in career transition and ultimately started her own business, goals took on a whole new significance. Now, achieving goals meant she could put food on the table – not achieving them meant going hungry.

Brenda’s story gives her audiences tips, tools and confidence that they, too, can achieve their own aspirations. When she’s not running her businesses Brenda can be found hiking in the mountains, playing with five grandchildren or enjoying a great cup of coffee.

Always looking for ways to contribute, Brenda also serves on the boards of her local church and the Woodbury Community Foundation, where she co-chairs the Leadership Forum.
