Woodbury Community Foundation kicked off the first Youth Engagement Leadership Academy this summer. The program is a 5-week service learning, leadership development and entrepreneurial program. It’s designed to give students who are incoming seniors (grade 12) opportunities to develop critical skills necessary for increased community engagement. In the program they will also acquire real world skills to succeed in the business environment and explore entrepreneurship in the 21st century.
Seven graduates were awarded a Paul Rebholz Scholarship based on their participation and scholarship essay.
Kate Votel $5,000
Dominic David $5,000
Doug Ossanna $5,000
Danyl Falsafi $1,000
Lindsay Kazmerski $1,000
Tessa Garver $1,000
Connor Hestwood $1,000
The scholarship program was founded in memory of Paul, who was a dedicated leader in Woodbury. The Rebholz family has a golf tournament "Rounds fore Rebs" that raises money for this program of the Woodbury Community Foundation.
Congratulations to all participants and thank you to the Rebholz family for partnering in an important legacy of community engagement and leadership.
