A long history of collaboration and servant leadership will be the focus of the Woodbury Community Foundation (WCF) Tenth Anniversary Celebration Gala Event on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Prom Center in Oakdale.
“Woodbury Together – Celebrating Our Heritage, Building Our Future” is the theme for the event which is being planned as a multi-media experience for all who attend.
It’s not your typical fundraiser. There is no silent auction. Attendees will immediately experience a Heritage Walk portraying selected eras in Woodbury’s past, present and the future. The Merrill Community Arts actors will bring to life the story in a musical production. We’ll hear directly from Inez Oehlke, whose family was one of the Woodbury founding families, and past and present City Mayors.”
Attendees will receive a special, one-of-a-kind commemorative book suitable for formal display.
It will be the event of the year in Woodbury, perhaps in the East Metro Area.
Thrivent Financial has partnered with the Foundation in support of the celebration activities.
The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with dinner and program following.
