Meet some of the local Chefs who will be cooking up some fun at the WCF’s annual fundraiser and community event on Sunday Nov 19
CHEF ROBERT VELARDE, CEC, Chartwells
Chef Robert Velarde is Kitchen Manager at Chartwells School Dining Services serving the K12 academic community. He held a similar role prior with Sodexo School Food Service.
Chef Velarde has also worked as a Chef with Lancer Hospitality supporting 23 accounts in the education and business divisions. A member of the American Culinary Federation Minneapolis Chapter, he was named 2015 Chef of the Year and honored with the 2014 CHEFFY Award.
He currently serves as Certification Co-Chair and for the last five years has been Test Administrator for the local practical exams.
Chef Velarde has worked in the food industry for over 30 years and has been a member of the American Culinary Federation for sixteen.
