Live Brave Fund Grants over 11K for Eating Disorders

The 2023 Live Brave 5K and 1 mile and the Live Brave Fund made a $11,500 donation to WithAll (withall.org) to help fight eating disorders. The $11,500 gift from Live Brave to WithAll will do the following:

Treatment: Provide financial support to 20 people who are experiencing financial hardship at the same time they need to be in intensive treatment for an eating disorder.  Specifically, 20 people will receive grocery support so they can follow their meal plan while they are in intensive treatment for their eating disorder.

Prevention: Help WithAll distribute What to Say Healthcare to at least five pediatric clinics – so doctors know how to speak with young people about growth and food in ways that promote health outcomes (without inadvertently causing shame around weight/BMI).

Prevention: Help create What to Say tip sheets for parents to learn actionable ways to talk with kids about food and body in ways that promote health (and helps avoid eating disorders).Live Brave is excited to be able to provide this financial support, and we celebrate the impact that our Live Brave Community is making towards eating disorder awareness, prevention and recovery.Thank you to all of our wonderful participants, volunteers, sponsors, donors and supporters for making our 2023 events amazing and impactful.
