October 27, 2023 (Woodbury, Minn.) As the chill of winter approaches, the Woodbury Community Foundation (WCF) is gearing up for its annual Winter Clothing Drive, aimed at providing warmth and comfort to local students in need during the colder months. This is a partnership with SoWashCo CARES and local businesses.
“Members of our volunteer group, The Woodbury Champions, have been instrumental in growing the donation drive to a record 13 locations for us this year. We are proud of this effort that exemplifies our mission to connect people and organizations to causes that matter,” says Matt Johnson, Chair of Woodbury Community Foundation.
Specific needs are youth and adult snow pants, youth and adult boots, and youth waterproof gloves and mittens. People interested in helping, can bring new or gently used items to one of the 13 drop-off locations, or make a monetary donation that will be used to purchase items.
