Support Local Robotics Students

The East Metro Collaborative Robotics Competition takes place on Saturday, September 21 at East Ridge High School. Join the excitement as local Woodbury Robotics teams face off with up to 26 other teams from the region. It’s all part of FIRST which stands for “For Inspiration & Recognition of Science and Technology” and is the world’s leading youth-serving nonprofit to advance STEM education.

This First Robotics Competiton (FRC) level competition is exactly the same as a real competition like those you may have seen at Mariucci with a real field, real scoring, free attendance and up to 30 teams competing. It’s a one day event from Saturday Morning to afternoon (opening ceremony is 8:30 a.m. and closing ceremony at 4:30 p.m.). There’ll be concessions and FIRST Lego League and FIRST Tech Challenge teams present to help expose the audience to robotics.

The four teams in our area collaborate in the FIRST spirit by supplying volunteers (students and adults) and coordination help making the event happen. It isn’t run as a fundraiser – the goal is altruistic, simply to expose more of the public to FIRST. Visit https://woodburythrives.us16.list-manage.com/track/click… for more information.

So, join the fun and cheer on our local Robotics Teams!
